The Amgen Tour of California is back in Sacramento for the 5th straight year on Monday May 16, 2011. Downtown Sacramento is the finish to Stage 2 (Lake Tahoe to Sacramento). The American River Parkway is so popular that more than 5 million visitors each year are drawn to this unique wildlife and recreation area that is known as the "jewel of Sacramento." The 32-mile Parkway, runs from Folsom Lake State park through the Nimbus Fish Hatchery, west to the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers downtown at Discovery Park. From historic Gold Rush and Maidu Indian sites to lush riverine forests and oak woodlands, and the winding green river itself, your cycling tour on this paved parkway will make your experience here a pleasant one. Please join us in appreciating the natural bounty that surrounds the American River from the seat of your saddle while celebrating the Tour of California.

2009 Trek 7.3 FX Road Bike Rental (Optional): $20+ tax. We need to know heights for all renters.
