After reaching the summit at over 7,500 feet, We'll hike part of the Pacific Crest
Trail (2,000+ mile trail that extends from Canada to Mexico) to Ellis Lake and are rewarded with views of the entire Lake Tahoe Basin. Swim and relax at the lake before going to the summit of Ellis Peak (8,742 feet), where the reward is a captivating wilderness, Lake Tahoe and beyond. A West Shore picnic lunch is followed by a tranquil kayak on the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe where we can often see to a depth of more than 70 feet but don't forget to look up as the snow capped peaks that encircle the lake rise more than 3,100 feet above you. Relax tonight at River Ranch Lodge. Dinner on your own at one of gourmet restaurants in town. 25 miles (easy to moderate).
